Old Havana. Declared Cultural Patrimony of Mankind by UNESCO in 1982 for being the one that better preserve in Latin America the colonial characteristics and the one that possesses a bigger number of constructions of historical value. It occupies 214 hectares, where are located more than 900 constructions with a high patrimonial value.
It is one of the most important urban groups in the continent. It treasures 88 monuments of architectural historical value, 860 of environmental value and 1760 harmonic constructions. Some of the constructions correspond to the XVI and XVII centuries.
