Located in Sierra del Rosario and declared Biosphere Reserve Area by UNESCO.
Soroa´s altitude is a little more than 200 meters above the sea level, among mountains, valleys and rivers. It has a rich vegetation with always green forests, orchids and ferns, among their main exponents.
The 20 meters high waterfall, "The Rainbow of Cuba", is the symbol of Soroa, place where the biggest orchids plantation in Cuba is also located; it collects around 20 000 specimens of 700 species, many of them Cuban, in an area of 35 000 m² located in the north hillside of "Loma del Fuerte".
